This is one of the finest of MISD's athletic facilities. It made its debut in the 2002 season, allowing the Lady Mavs to move from Airport Park to one of the finest softball facilities in the state.
Lady Mav Field offers up-close seating to the action with concrete bleachers that are built into the landscape. The Playing field is below the stands on ground level.
The facility is located across from the Maverick Tennis Courts and offers the pineywoods as a backdrop to the field. There is plenty of seating with the bleachers, or, if you prefer, a lawn chair on the grassy knoll above the field. Concessions and more improvements were added in 2009. Photos of those upgrades will be added ASAP.
